My favourite play! These maps are shown in both analysis mode and reasoning mode. You will see the usefulness of analysis – it shows the “proper” structure by combining those claims which work together to form a reason.

 

By the way, when I was in Scotland many years ago I did a bit of a “real” Macbeth tour – around Dunkeld, Scone Palace and Great Birnam Wood. It  could be a useful history or literary task  to have students consider the “real” historic Macbeth as opposed to the Shakespearean Macbeth – significantly different characters! Should an author/playwright create a viscious fictional character based on a good man?
